org.springframework.expression.spel.support Documentation Differences

This file contains all the changes in documentation in the package org.springframework.expression.spel.support as colored differences. Deletions are shown like this, and additions are shown like this.
If no deletions or additions are shown in an entry, the HTML tags will be what has changed. The new HTML tags are shown in the differences. If no documentation existed, and then some was added in a later version, this change is noted in the appropriate class pages of differences, but the change is not shown on this page. Only changes in existing text are shown here. Similarly, documentation which was inherited from another class or interface is not shown here.
Note that an HTML error in the new documentation may cause the display of other documentation changes to be presented incorrectly. For instance, failure to close a <code> tag will cause all subsequent paragraphs to be displayed differently.

Class ReflectiveMethodResolver, constructor ReflectiveMethodResolver(boolean)

This constructors allows the ReflectiveMethodResolver to be configured such that it will use a distance computation to check which is the better of two close matches (when there are multiple matches). Using the distance computation is intended to ensure matches are more closely representative of what a Java compiler would do when taking intointo account boxing/unboxing and whether the method candidates are declared to handle a supertype of the type (of the argument) being passed in. @param useDistance true if distance computation should be used when calculating matches

Class ReflectivePropertyAccessor

Simple PropertyAccessor that uses reflection to access properties for reading and writing. A property can be accessed accessed if it is accessible as a field on the object or through aa getter (if being read) or a setter (if being written). @author Andy Clement @author Juergen Hoeller @since 3.0
Class ReflectivePropertyAccessor, PropertyAccessor createOptimalAccessor(EvaluationContext, Object, String)

Attempt to create an optimized property accessor tailored for a property of a particular name on a particular class. The general ReflectivePropertyAccessor will always work but is not optimal optimal due to the need to lookup which reflective member (method/field) to use each time read() is called. This method will just return the ReflectivePropertyAccessor instance if it is unable to build something more optimal.
Class ReflectivePropertyAccessor, Method findGetterForProperty(String, Class<?>, boolean)

Find a getter method for the specified property. A getter is defined as a method whose name start with the prefix 'get' and the rest of the name is the same as the property name (with the first character uppercased).

Class StandardEvaluationContext

Provides a default EvaluationContext implementation.

To resolve properties/methods/fields this context uses a reflection mechanism. @author Andy Clement @author Juergen Hoeller @author Sam Brannen @since 3.0

Class StandardEvaluationContext, void registerMethodFilter(Class<?>, MethodFilter)

Register a {@code MethodFilter} which will be called during method resolutionresolution for the the specified type.

The {@code MethodFilter} may remove methods and/or sort the methods whichmethods which will then be used by SpEL as the candidates to look through for a match. @param type the type for which the filter should be called @param filter a {@code MethodFilter}, or NULL{@code null} to deregisterunregister a filter for the typetype @throws IllegalStateException if the ReflectiveMethodResolver is not in use
